Tabitha Beaven - Master of Ceremony

Light Mind

Tabitha Beaven – Light Mind

Tabitha delivered a very successful ‘Life Hacks to Live Lighter’ session at INSPIRE Conference & Awards 2017.  She brings her professional enthusiasm and energy back this year as our Master of Ceremony, although she’s chosen to reframe M.O.C. as the ‘Mindset Open Captain’.

Following a 15 year corporate career in HR & Learning for high profile brands such as John Lewis and PepsiCo, Tabitha recognised her need to hit the ‘reboot’ button.  Embarking on a mission to reconnect, her simple strategy of ‘do more things that made her smile’ led to starting a Tuneless Choir (a choir for people who choose to ’sing like no one’s listening’ whatever their singing ability) and creating Light Mind.

At the heart of Light Mind is the belief that when we feel better we do better – whether that ‘doing’ is problem solving, coming up with ideas, nurturing relationships, juggling responsibilities or simply ‘doing’ life in a way that feels meaningful and enjoyable.  Much of how we feel comes from how we think, so Light Mind delivers experiential events to teams and organisations to choose a more helpful mindset that benefits both wellbeing and performance.

Tabitha’s role models in life are dogs meaning her approach is full of energy, curiosity and playfulness.  She will pop up throughout the day sharing various Light Mind tasters and providing food for thought.

Cass Davis

Passive Income Mama

Cass Davis – The Passive Income Mama

Cass Davis is the founder of The Passive Income Mama and is a passive income strategist.  She helps women to create automated income streams in their business so they can reach new income levels, without hustling for every penny.

At the conference, she will be sharing her own story of how her business has enabled her to stay home with her daughter for the last 4 years and how her business has evolved from taking only 1:1 clients to having the majority of income coming from automated sales channels.  Cass will also be talking about how passive income can help you enjoy more time and freedom in your own business, plus tips on how you can easily set up your first passive income stream.

Cass will also be picking a couple of ladies from the audience, and using them as examples to demonstrate that everybody can find passive income streams in their business.  Watch out, it might be you!

Donna Robertson

Modern Muse

Donna Robertson – Modern Muse

The Modern Muse were chosen as our charity partner this year because their ethos and culture is in complete synergy with ours.  They empower and inspire the younger generation of women coming into the workplace and setting up businesses.   This is what the Business Girls community is all about.  We are delighted to be able to partner with this exciting charity.

The Modern Muse Charity is a free resource for girls, teachers, and parents. It inspires girls, to consider their subject choices and empowers them to make more informed career decisions. This mobile platform tells the education and career stories of over 1,000 female role models (Muses) working in a wide variety of jobs and connects girls and young women to companies and the career opportunities they offer. We are looking to reach over 1 Million girls by the end of 2020 and need more Muses to tell their story (it’s free to sign up), more companies to fund the platform and promote their opportunities, and more girls to inspire. So please do get involved www.modernmuse.org.
“The best feature, is to be able to type in a subject you currently or have previously enjoyed – this comes up with women who also studied these and what they are doing now. Having these options in front of you gives you career ideas you potentially had not thought of.” A-level student.

There will be a very exciting opportunity for all delegates to contribute to a very special project happening at the conference.  The full details will be released next week.  Let’s see if you can guess what might be happening?! Watch this space very closely!
