MARCH 8TH 2016
The Business Girls Network is very excited to launch their Business Girls Ambassadors. In the business world there are women who are a voice for women and can inspire other women. These women can be great role models for other women in their entrepreneurial journey of setting up and sustaining their own business. The Ambassadors will act as a voice for all female entrepreneurs in the network and will be chosen because they represent the core values of The Business Girls Network: passion for small business and support for female business owners. The very first Ambassador is Lisa Long who is the owner and Creative Director of award winning More Than Words which is considered as the leading typographic art boutique and award-winning global brand in the UK. “The values of The Business Girls Network including supporting women and encouraging their journey to success, is something I am passionate about. I wholeheartedly support what Amanda has achieved and her vision for the future” said Lisa Long.
Lisa Long is a great role model and has built a very successful business from home. She is a real woman who knows the small business female entrepreneur’s journey and how tough it is to juggle everything. “I am so delighted that Lisa has agreed to be our very first ambassador. She was Mumpreneur of the Year in 2014 and will be a huge inspiring role model to women in the network and understands the challenges that modern female entrepreneurs face.” said Amanda Ayres, Founder of The Business Girls Network. “Lisa attended an event in January and women were so inspired by her story. It is so important that we support women in their own journeys to build a company”.
More Than Words was launched in the 2010. Lisa’s lifetime love of typography, graphic design and interiors, combined with a search to find a piece of original artwork for her home that led her to follow her creative passion. Lisa together with her team of professional designer in Berkshire has created an award-winning international brand, appointed by thousands of clients and customers in different parts of the world. Apart from this, More Than Words creation adorns the walls of famous corporate customers such as Amazon, Selfridges and ITX.
Furthermore, More Than Words designs have also featured on BBC, ITV, in leading home, children’s and wedding magazines and blogs. Lisa Long was awarded UK Mumpreneur in the year 2014 for her achievements and won the UK.COM business awards- pipping Avon and Microsoft to the post.
